Mission Statement
Image Dance Company was founded in 1991 by Michelle Angulo-Pacheco. The purpose of Image Dance is to introduce dance as both a cultural and skill enhancement of the art of dance as well as a recreational activity for the children of San Antonio. Since then, the company has expanded towards serving any and all cultural dance aficionados of all ages.
Image Dance prides itself on serving all of San Antonio and the surrounding metropolitan area. Cultural diversity, connection with and achievement of its students, and unique presentation has been its goal as being differentiated from other companies. Image hopes to offer a diverse curriculum to enhance the skills and love for the art of DANCE.

Image Dance Company (IDC) is composed of both the Image Dance Academy and La Imagen De San Antonio. IDC values the contributions of every student who yearn for enrichment & thrives on the pursuit of improved talent, skills and cultural knowledge. We indulge our clients with the value they deserve and consider ourselves fortunate to be acquainted with those who desire learning, having fun and connecting with those who share the same passion.

Getting to Know IDC
Image Dance Company (IDC) is a diverse, artistic dance company and academy founded in 1991 by Michelle Angulo-Pacheco. Image prides itself in being one of very few studios in the San Antonio area to offer variety and diversity in dance genres: Mexican folkloric, Spanish, Flamenco, Jazz, Hip-hop, Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, and Musical Theater. All of these dance courses offer technique throughout the period followed by a preparation of a choreographed finished dance piece to be presented at a debut performance of a recital or showcase (see below).
Other styles include social dance styles such as: salsa/merengue, cumbia, tejano, rumba, cha-cha, etc. Private lessons are available. These lessons are available to those preparing for that special social occasion, such as weddings, proms, reunions, etc.
We are your One-Stop-Shop for dance
Offers a diversity of dance styles and various skill levels. This allows for the student desiring to take multiple classes the opportunity to do so during the same semester. Special choreography lessons are offered: quinceañera/debut dance routines and reception presentation, private dance pieces, competition preparation, etc. These are scheduled on a customized basis for a schedule accommodating to the client at a competitive price. Classes are continually added. If a class term has already begun and has reached capacity at one location, we may be able to open another class at the other location to offer times (*Depends upon enrollment and demand).
Competitive rates :: Discounts for family and multiple class enrollments.
All ages accepted :: Student dancers are accepted begining at age 2.
Dance gear and costumes :: No need to look elsewhere. Dance gear for practice and lessons are available for purchase through our office. Recital and performance costuming may only purchased through the office.
Student Placement :: Students are assigned & registered according to student's preference of dance discipline. The instructor and director evaluate the student's skill set for advancement is based upon the student's present age, abilities, and dance skills.

Performances and Recitals
Image Dance Company & Academy is proud of the students and all they accomplish throughout the months and years of training. For this reason, the Annual Recital is scheduled once a year during the spring, and a Showcase is scheduled once a year in the fall to feature the new dances taught and new costumes featured for that session of instruction.
In addition to recitals, students are encouraged to participate in the numerous performance opportunities at no obligation. Performances at numerous special events, activites, fiestas, and celebrations throughout San Antonio on a regular basis are available to our beginning and professional dancers.
